At Community Care Foundation, we offer a range of group activities designed around different interests, strengths and personal goals.

Our groups provide opportunities for participants to connect with others, develop new skills, build confidence and enjoy meaningful experiences in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Facilitated by our experienced Support Team, our groups encourage participation, choice and independence while creating opportunities to build friendships and be part of the community.

Our current groups include:

Tuesday – Health & Wellbeing Group

Our Health & Wellbeing Group supports participants to focus on their health and wellbeing goals in a fun and encouraging environment.

Participants can work alongside our trained support team to access our onsite gym, explore healthy lifestyle activities and build confidence while developing positive routines.

Wednesday & Thursday – Cooking Group

Our Cooking Group is a great opportunity to come together, share experiences and develop practical life skills.

Participants are involved in all parts of the cooking experience, including choosing recipes, shopping for ingredients, budgeting, preparing meals and enjoying the finished creation together.

Wednesday – Craft Group

Our Craft Group provides a creative space where participants can explore their imagination, learn new skills and create something unique.

With support from our creative team, participants can work with a range of materials including paper, wood, colour and other craft supplies while enjoying time together.

Friday – Comic Drawing Group (Hervey Bay)

Our Comic Drawing Group provides participants with the opportunity to explore creativity and storytelling.
Hosted in Hervey Bay by one of our talented support workers, participants are supported to develop their drawing skills, create characters and bring their own comic book ideas to life.

Our groups are about more than activities — they are opportunities to connect with others, try new things, celebrate achievements and take part in experiences that are meaningful to each person.
