We’re delighted to share that Community Care Foundation has been awarded an Empowering Queensland Women grant.

We recently welcomed John Barounis to our Lennox Street office, where he formally acknowledged our organisation as a recipient of this impactful funding. This grant will allow us to deliver a series of workshops designed to strengthen the economic security of women within our disabled community and their families—particularly mothers re‑entering the workforce—by offering practical tools that build financial independence, digital confidence, and career readiness.

Our immersive program will feature five targeted workshops, each focusing on financial literacy, digital safety, career development, and professional networking.

Participants will be supported every step of the way. We’ll create a welcoming, empowering environment and provide personalised guidance to help navigate barriers such as language, expectations, and gaps in employment.

By equipping women with the skills, confidence, and connections they need to succeed, we’re helping foster a more inclusive, resilient, and prosperous future for our community.
